Week 9 – Assessment of Volume Status, Including Inferior Vena Cava and Intro to the VEXUS Score

In Week 9, the goals include identifying the inferior vena cava, reviewing literature on IVC and fluid status, and identifying the portal vein and hepatic vein. The reading checklist covers various topics, including predicting fluid responsiveness with echocardiography and measuring systemic congestion with Point-Of-Care ultrasound.
